MJBSA 2026 Spring Season FAQ
What is MJBSA?
Founded in 1965, the Marysville Junior Baseball and Softball Association is a nonprofit recreational baseball and softball organization serving the youth of Marysville and surrounding communities. MJBSA is generously supported by many local businesses and the help of over 150 volunteer coaches. Our goal is to provide opportunities to our participants to develop baseball and softball athletic skills while encouraging the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship and athletic competition.

How do I sign up for my child to play Spring ball?
Visit https://www.mjbsa.com/ . Spring 2026 Registration starts 12/15/2025.
At the top right of the page you can log in or register.
If you are a new user, you will click on register and need to create a one-time account to sign up. You will use this account for all future sign-ups and have multiple players under one parent account.
If you are a returning parent, you click on log in and can register your player(s).
What league/age group should my child be in?
If your child is 4 or 5 years old, they should be in the Tee ball league. This applies for both boys and girls.
If your child is 6 years old, they should be in the Transitional League. This applies for both boys and girls.

For boys ages 7 – 18:
8u is for players who will be 7 or 8 years old by 1/1/2026
10u is for players who will be 9 or 10 years old by 1/1/2026
12u is for players who will be 11 or 12 by 1/1/2026
Cobra - 14u (middle school) is for players who will be 13 or 14 by 1/1/2026
Cobra - 16u (high school) is for players who will be 15, 16, 17 or 18 by 1/1/2026

For girls ages 7-18:
8u is for those players who are 7 or 8 years old as of 8/31/2025
10u is for those players who are 9 or 10 years old as of 8/31/2025
13u is for players who are 11, 12, or 13 years old as of 8/31/2025
18u is for players who are 14, 15, 16, 17 or 18 years old as of 8/31/2025

What is the cost and what is included?
All leagues include a season full of learning, making friends and lots of fun! Please see tables below for costs per player and what is included.
Mixed leagues:
Tee Ball and Transition cost $80 per player. This includes a minor league baseball hat and jersey with custom name.
Baseball:
8u cost is $120 per player.
10u cost is $125 per player.
12u cost is $130 per player.
Cobra 14u cost is $200 per player.
Cobra 16u cost is $200 per player.
All baseball league costs include a minor league baseball hat and jersey with custom name.
Softball:
8u cost is $120 per player.
10u cost is $125 per player.
13u cost is $130 per player.
18u cost is $175 per player.
All softball league costs include socks and a jersey with custom name.
Softball and baseball 8u and above seasons will include practices, 12 games, a league-wide tournament and an all-star game.
Cobra includes practices, 16 games and a tournament.
*For 2026 Cobra will be Spring Season only. No fall season.
What equipment will my child need?
For all leagues your player will need to have a glove and tennis shoes or cleats. Bats and batting helmets are suggested for all leagues, and a fielder’s mask for softball. If your player does not have these – no worries! The coaches have some league provided equipment that can be shared for the season.
Uniform specific needs will be communicated by coaches prior to the start of games for the season. You may need to have pants, socks, belts, or other items for your player.
In need of equipment for your player? There will be an equipment swap at Spring Evaluations on Saturday, February 28th. Please follow our Facebook page for more details to be shared in February.
How long is the 2026 season?
Tee ball will start with practices mid-April and the season will go through June.
Transition will start with practices mid-April and the season will go through June.
Baseball will start with practices in mid to late March and the season will end with a tournament in late June.
COBRA Baseball will start with practices in May and the season will go through July.
Softball will start with practices in mid to late March and the season will end with a tournament in late June.
Exact season dates will be shared by coaches and on our Facebook Page in early March.
What about Umpires?
MJBSA will have umpire sign-ups in early 2026. You must be at least 12 years old to serve as an umpire. Umpires will also be required to complete MJBSA Umpire training in early March. Please follow our Facebook Page as more information will be shared in early 2026.
